Benalmadena actually consists
of three separate areas.
The most commonly know part of
Benalmadena is Benalmadena Costa.
With 9km of “European blue flag
award” winning beaches, 2km of paved promenade, a multitude of restaurants
and bars and it’s stunning port, Puerto Marina, which has won the award for
“the best marina in the world” on two separate occasions, it is no wonder
that visitors to the Costa del Sol continue to enjoy all that Benalmadena
Costa has to offer.
In it’s elevated position
overlooking Benalmadena Costa is the regions administrative center of
Benalmadena Pueblo (the village). This quaint hillside village has narrow
cobbled streets and still maintains much of the white washed Andalucian
architecture that this area of Spain is famous for.
Finally
there is
Arroyo del la Miel. This compact, busy little village is buzzing with
activity the whole year through.
Visitors
to the Costa del Sol who repeatedly choose to take their holidays in
Benalmadena are never disappointed by the amount and variety of facilities
that there are to offer.
Attractions such as Tivoli World, the Sea Life Centre and Selwo Marina, not
to mention the abundance of bars and restaurants are all firm favourites
with visitors from all age groups.
The
Torrequebrada Hotel and Casino is also well worth a visit. The international
show in the Sala Fortuna is possibly one of the best shows on the coast.
