Fuengirola is situated between Malaga and Marbella, approximately twenty five to thirty minutes drive from Malaga airport. Its close proximity to the popular tourist towns of Mijas and Benalmadena, coupled with the abundance of local leisure facilities makes Fuengirola an excellent base for holidays on the Costa del Sol for people of all ages.

It is a resort town and as such is almost entirely dominated by tourism. Although there is still evidence of what was once an important fishing town, the countless tourist attractions, bars, restaurants, seaside promenade and the well-groomed, sandy beaches have all but taken over.

One of the last remaining traces of the ancient past of Fuengirola lies with the dominating Moorish castle situated to the west of the town, perched high on a hill.

Fuengirola offers all the facilities normally associated with a popular tourist destination and cosmopolitan business centre. There are no shortage of bars, clubs and restaurants to cater for all tastes. The sea front displays a remarkable transformation from the more peaceful winter months into a buzz of humanity during the livelier summer season.
